The ICBR (Brazilian Institute of Certifications belonging to the IBRACE group) would like to inform you that on 29 March 2018 was published the Inmetro carrier
N º 167/2018, where it brings the following changes in the process of certification of LED lamps (carrier 144/2015):
Art. 1st it is not allowed to conduct certification processes of LED lamps based on prototypes.
Art. 2. For the purpose of carrying out tests for LED lamps, no sample collection is allowed before
The initiation of the certification process and should occur during the initial audit of the production process.
Art. 3. Each LED light bulb certification process must have its sample collection, its test
and its test report, observing the criteria for family formation, defined in the Inmetro carrier
Paragraph 144/2015, the use of the same test report for separate certification procedures is not permitted.
Art. 4. The subitem "C. 2 maintenance tests", of annex C to the carrier Inmetro no 144/2015, will be viger with the following essay:
"C. 2 Maintenance Tests
The collection of samples should be made in the trade, which must be in national territory.
